Progress… Sunday, Dec. 4th
Today we started putting bags together with general toy donations for the 54 children we registered on Wednesday. We received financial donations so after we were done there, friends watched the girls so Mike and I could go shopping for 30 kids! We bought two shopping carts full of toys and teenager clothes. We could have filled another one if we had more time and energy.
Tomorrow, I will put clothing in the bags (which was all donated) and put those bags to the side for Saturday morning.
I am so excited to see the parents’ faces as they pick up their child’s gifts. What a day we have in store!
Looking for Volunteers for Distribution Day…
Distribution Day is what sets Toys For Joy apart from any other toy drive. It is held on December 10, 2011 from 9-11am.
Not only do parents receive the gifts for children, but parents and children also enjoy free food and refreshments! Kids enjoy a visit from the Chick-fil-A cow, bounce house fun, face painting, Christmas crafts and more!
You and your children can help on this day. You may also choose to bake something yummy and bring it too!

2011 ToyS FoR JoY! Fort Mill, SC Toy Drive
We are so excited! The 2011 toy drive has begun! There is so much to do in such little time, but it is all worth it to see the joy those gifts bring to the face of a child.
We are on a Mission: Most obvious is that NO child be left without Christmas presents. More importantly though, is that we are able to show Jesus’ love by forwarding the love we have in our hearts to the children. We also want to share this love with parents, the joy of knowing that when it seems like noone else is there, that Jesus is ALWAYS there.
Jesus was God’s Gift to us, and we want others to realize the Joy of knowing and trusting Him.
